I like your vision of this piece. Darkness, the unknown, sadness, a loss that has been weighing heavily on her, and the power that she gains from it all is shown in her facial expressions as well as her stance. Although the weak part of the of the piece is the actual originality, just because there is so many like it out there, it doesn't take away from your technique and impact of the piece. The technique is nearly flawless. You set the atmosphere surrounding the woman perfectly. Her facial features alone teel a story. Her feminine stance adds to those facial features.
